Having soft and smooth skin is priceless. Shaving, waxing, and plucking can damage the skin, create pigmentation, and ingrown hairs. At IBC we combine Intense Pulse Light (IPL) with Electrolysis to achieve permanent results. IPL is similar to a Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (LASER) treatment. However, LASER focuses just one wavelength of light affecting portions of the hair follicle, while IPL releases light of many different polychromatic, multidirectional wavelengths of light that penetrates down to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without harming the top layer (epidermis). IPL offers more saturation of damage to the hair follicle due to its large electroluminescent spectrum (400nm to 1,200nm) and the multidirectional wavelength travel, resulting in the releases flashes of intensified natural light in all different directs, color and wavelengths. Pigment cells in your hair absorb the light energy, which is converted into heat. The heat may produce Hair Reduction of approximately 60%-80%. Our machine has a big crystal window, which allows to cover a larger area, making our treatments faster and more comfortable.

The Food and Drug Administration acknowledges tha Photoepilation (LASER or IPL) allows Permanent Hair Reduction. To achieve Permanent Hair Removal, sessions must be completed with Electroepilation or Electrolysis and on non pigmented hair (light, grey, white or red) or on melanin rich skin.

Different world institutions have established a classification of equipment according to various criteria:

• Class 1 and 2: slight burn risk (IPL)
• Class 3, 4, and 5: burn risk from severe (LASER)
